Off to England

Croquet players of Gisborne are gathered together in picture at the Turanga Club's greens in Rutene Road to farewell Mrs G. McKenzie Smart, a club member who has been selected as a member of the New Zealand croquet team to tour the United Kingdom this year.

Mrs Smart, better known to Gisborne and the croquet world as Mrs O'Connell, was the Dominion champion last year. This year she won the South Island title.
