From Mr J. G. H. Frazer, who lived in Gisborne from 1902 until 1945, and is now living in Te Puke, we have these two pictures from the past.

This shot is of the 9th Reinforcements going into camp at Trentham during World War I, in October, 1915. Mr Frazer is fourth from the left in the back row. Mr Frazer believes there are some faces in the group still to be seen around Gisborne.

Taken on the old Domain, where the tennis and squash courts are now situated, this picture shows the athletic and cycling group at a sports meeting held on Boxing Day in 1912. That's Mr Frazer on the right, holding a bike.

From Mr J. Musgrave of Score Road comes this pic of the Opotiki-Whakatane service car depot, the Hinemoa Garage. Mr Musgrave was a pioneer in the service car business and, if you think about it, the business actually and originally meant cars in service.
