A Round For 50 Years

Mr Arthur Graham is retiring from his milk round after 50 years in the business. Thirty years of his milk round have included South Roebuck Road and Anzac Street, an area Mr Graham took over when housing development first started there. Residents of these two streets clubbed together to present Mr Graham with retirement gifts on his last round day. These were a clock and a smoker's stand, and a framed scroll made by Mr W. A. Phipps, and signed by all the customers in the streets concerned.

Among those responsible for the presentation are, from left, Mrs Phipps, Mrs W. Allen, Mrs M. Gilchrist, Mr Phipps, Mr and Mrs Graham and their son John, Mrs D. Mulrooney and Mrs D. Peake.

The crowd applaudes as Mr Graham finishes his farewell speech.
