We'll never know how many feet will have been saved from horrible cuts and lacerations by this lot of broken glass and hard rubbish which was collected by these members of the Kaiti Guide Co. on Waikanae Beach. They were doing this community service project as part of their patrol challenge. Of course, if the poor things responsible for the mess were in any way mature there would be nothing for the girls to clean up! From left, the Guides are Jenny Kay Potaka, Janette Reader, Adrienne Wilson, Joy Evans, Susan Solvander, Dianne Clough, Karen Blair, Ngaire Powell and Janet Solvander.
