Just a short stay
This vintage fire engine owned by Mr Dennis Carter (in the hot seat) stayed in Gisborne virtually only long enough to be tuned-up and refueled. Mr Carter, who was transferred to Gisborne from Taumaru-nui, and has been here less than a year before being transferred to Auckland, is pictured just before making the Auckland trip. He owns this 1928-29 Hudson Super Six which he restored himself. Also in the picture is Newton King mechanic Mr Colin Downs.
