A new manure manufacturing plant, operated by Morrin Hardy Ltd and Olin Chemicals Ltd, is now in production in the Awapuni industrial sub-division. The plant converts solid nitrogen into a liquid form, which is known as Liquinite. In liquid form the manure is easy to use and can be sprayed or irrigated where wanted.
The two liquid nitrogen storage tanks are made of wood and have a capacity of 5000 gallons each. They stand alongside the conversion plant.
Messrs John Hough and Jim Murphy supervise the filling of a tanker for Liquinite delivery.
