Bang On!

The Mayor, most people agree, does many things well. He is, for instance, undoubtedly one of the best public speakers among N.Z. holders of that office. Opening the recent national archery contest here, he showed that he can also hit the target literally as well as oratorically. Firing the first contest arrow, he became the first mayor ever to manage that little formality successfully. A fluke? No, Mr Barker took a second arrow and scored again, to the delight of all present.
