The East Coast branch of the New Plymouth Boys' High School Old Boys' Association held a very enjoyable dinner party and their annual general meeting at the Record Reign Hotel recently.

Christina Milligan, a senior student at St. Mary's College, was awarded third prize in a competition run by the Association of New Zealand Advertisers Inc., with prizes sponsored by the Bank of New South Wales. The competition was in the form of an essay entitled "The Role of Advertising in Society". Christina won $25 for herself and also $25 for her school.
