Regional Contestants

Entrants in the regional section of the Korimako Speech Contest gave their speeches before the judges in the Boys' High School library recently. Entrants, who came from the Boys' High, Girls' High, Lytton High, and St, Mary's College, were required to give their addresses in two sections. The first was a set subject, "The causes of teenage gangs in Auckland and some possible solution to the problem", followed by an impromptu speech. The winner who goes forward to the national final was Maewa Pohatu of Lytton High School. Other contestants are pictured BELOW.
