This jazzy carrot was grown by Norman Graham at his Stout Street residence. Carrots grow very well on that side of the river, don't you think? This one weighed 21b 7ozs. The other plaited carrot (Below Left) came from the Hankey garden in De Lautour Road and was brought in by Judith Hankey.

Lemons have been growing freakishly on the trees in Mr 0. E. Jackson's garden at 22 Disraeli Street. Instead of growing normally they have been forming in bunches.

From Alan Palairet, Tolaga Bay, comes this shot of a truck which got into difficulties while working on an underground tank site at a Tolaga garage. After much effort the truck was eventually freed.
