Did You Vote?

It is indeed a rare occasion for all the political party candidates to be in the one place at the one time, but the five candidates for the Gisborne area met at the Freezing Works. Here they each had five minutes to expound their party beliefs and tell the men why they should vote for their party. In all, an interesting exercise in condensed party political speaking. From left, the candidates are Peter Phin (Social Credit), Trevor Davey (Labour), Brown Rewiti (Eastern Maori, Labour), Esme Tombleson (National) and Henare Ngata (Eastern Maori, National).
