Sensational Finish

A sensational finish to the first professional fight staged in Gisborne for three years occurred in the Y.M.C.A. stadium. Australian Aub Phillips was prevented from continuing (on doctor's orders) after being caught by a low blow from Kahu Mahunga in the third round of their bout.
