Miles of Ribbons

From Mrs J. Gordon, 113 Stanley Road, comes this picture of her grand-daughter and grand-son Kerry and Noel Hobbs. They are shown with some of the hundreds of ribbons won between their horses Tomboy and Frivolity. Both ponies have been Champion and Champion Hunter at numerous North Island shows. Frivolity won a gold medal and the Royal Champion Pony title at Hawkes Bay in 1962. Both horses are now retired and Frivolity has had her first foal. The picture was taken just before Noel left for Wisconsin, U.S.A., as an A.F.S. student, and Kerry for Australis on a school tour with the Opotiki and Waikohu College groups.
