On Land and Sea

"A lot of hay" means a lot of money, and a "lot of bull" means you know what. These two terms came together on a farm at Ormond which exported two consignments of hay to a farm near Taupo. Each load consisted of more than 400 bales and each load kept 500 head of cattle fed for Two days. When the truck was fully loaded, as you can see above, it was a very impressive sight, hey?

The Yacht Club members have been busy in recent weeks on their channel deepening programme in readiness for the new season. A dozer has been hired to help move loose rocks at the low tide end of the channel, while on the beach (below) are the supports for the foundation for the new ramp.
