Gardening Committee
A gardening committee has been organised to guide the district-wide garden competition which is going to be held as part of the Cook Bicentenary celebrations in October next year. This will encourage home gardeners as well as firms to improve gardens and frontages. There will be classifications for all gardens which will enable any home gardaner to enter.
The members of the committee are Messrs T. Watson, L. Grey, B. Pollock, T. P. Troy, J. Mulholland, Mesdames G. F. Hillyard, C. T. Ratcliffe, R. Shields, Dudley Redstone (convenor) and R. Coulston (secretary-treasurer). Absent were Mrs S. Rolls and Mr H. Andrew.
