Magnificent Painting Presented

A magnificent black and white Pointiliste painting of Mount Hikurangi was gifted to the Art Society and the city by the artist, Mr Rei Hamoa. This original painting would be worth many hundreds of dollars, and includes many hours of painstaking work. The Hamons, who are at present living in Waiomu, Thames, intend to return to live in Gisborne soon. Rei Hamon spent many of his earlier years in Gisborne.
