A close-up in black and white of the prize-winning fleece which is also pictured in colour on the cover and described on page three. Incidentally, the fleeces of the year were mounted in the Display Centre in Palmerston North and, with the backing of many trade exhibits connected with wool and home spinning, attracted a record attendance of 40,000 people during the two weeks they were on show.
