Job represented a great deal of careful planning, but was successfully carried out, with equipment available in Gisborne. Picture was taken from near cab of Monk Bros. truck, to which 35ft. boom in foreground was attached. winches of two other trucks were also brought into use. Cross-beams, each 3tons in weight, were hauled up earlier. New crane can lift 25 tons and will be used for lifting new transformers weighing 22 tons.
