Taken before the war, this picture shows the departure of men of "C" Company by school bus from Tolaga Bay back to Palmerston North after leave. One of the drivers was Frank Herbert who started driving buses in Tolaga Bay in 1938 and is still doing so.

Ted Lincoln has spent his career on Huanui station starting as a shepherd and station hand and now holds the position of manager.

Still a prominent competitor in dog trials is "Toot" Lincoln. Here he is shown in a picture taken before the war with one of his dogs by the name of 'Champ'.

Hori's niece, Rona Kerslake, lives in Melbourne and recently paid a visit to relatives and friends in Tolaga Bay. Here she is shown with son Colin at the Melbourne show.

Young Colin is pictured at gate No.3 before the Super Constellation at Essonden Airport for the journey to New Zealand.
