Out and About in Wairoa

The Wairoa Car Club held its open hill climb at Powdrell's Hill recently and competed with Gisborne and Napier Clubs. T. Johnstone (above) from Gisborne set a new record time in his home made car "Satellite" (right).
Saturday, March 30, saw the official opening of the Wairoa Water Ski Club's building. To mark the occasion they put on a spectacular display of trick skiing.
Second equal were S. Clare, Gis. (left), and R. Sherriff, Hawkes Bay.
G. Harvey was third.
