Wilkinson Shoot

Members of the Deerstalkers Association held the Wilkinson Shoot for the Gisborne Branch on Sunday, March 5.

The three highest scores are submitted for the New Zealand-wide contest and these resulted in 145 for Dick Black, 129 for John Black and 128 for Peter McCabe.

The shoot is held over 100 yds and 200 yds at both application and off hand.

Keeping the score are Jennifer, Maurice, Shirley and Lois Black.

The Wairoa-Gisborne Halberg Cup was won by Gisborne for the fifth time in succession this year. The successful team is Peter McCabe, Alan Tidswell, Dick Burson, Jennifer Black and Shirley Black. Absent, John Gibbons.
