Gold Cup Meeting

The Poverty Bay Turf Club's Summer Meeting was highlighted on the second day by the fifth race, for the Leopard Gold Cup.

Donated by the Leopard Brewery, Hastings, the cup was won in impressive fashion by Messrs G. T. Fitzgerald's and D. A. Herbert's Bientot, a four-year-old brown mare by Faux Tirage from Flit.
