Scout Visit

A large and enthusiastic number of Scouts turned out to meet and greet the Chief Scout of the Commonwealth, Sir Charles Maclean, at the airport on the morning of Saturday, March 11th.

Although due in Gisborne on the Friday afternoon, the aircraft on which Sir Charles was travelling was delayed and plans for his welcome had, unfortunately, to be cancelled.

However, the Chief Scout spent more than an hour at the airport and spoke to almost everyone, winning them all with his easy manner and personality.
