A rising star in the boxing firmamant, 23-year-old Peter Lister has brightened the sporting scene in Gisborne. Capacity crowds have attended both Peter's professional fights in the Y.M.C.A. Stadium and witnessed some fine boxing, particularly in his second fight. Having suffered only eight defeats in over sixty amateur bouts he looks to have an assured future in the professional ranks.
