Maori Welcome For Patrick O'Hagan

Irish tenor Patrick O'Hagan received his first Maori welcome in the 12 years that he has been visiting New Zealand when the Waihirere Maori Concert Party entertained him at the Waihirere meeting house during his recent visit to Gisborne.

During the evening O'Hagan recorded one Irish and two Maori songs with the group for broadcast in the national Maori programmes. (Pictures by Lloyd Cornish).
