Gisborne Civic Bandsman Colin Nunns, of 34 Wallis Road, ready to leave the railway station on his tour of the country with the New Zealand National Band prior to its departure on August 5th for a tour of North America. A highlight of the band's visit will be its performance at the Canadian National Exhibition at Toronto. Mr Nunns will be accompanied by his wife on the tour.

Mr and Mrs Douglas Coward, and daughter Sonja, have come to Gisborne from Blenheim. Mr Coward replaces Mr Dugald McPhail as manager of the Regent Theatre, and was himself replaced in Blenheim by Mr Geoff Baker, former manager of the Majestic and Opera House.

Miss Christine Schollum, daughter of Mr and Mrs Ron Schollum, Stanley Road, who left Gisborne recently to attend a three-week international Girl Guide rally in Switzerland. Christine, a member of the Endeavour Guide Company, was one of two New Zealanders selected to make the trip.

Mr and Mrs W. H. Edwards, who are new proprietors of the Ace Dairy, 34 Ormond Road, were formerly of Trentham, where Mr Edwards was employed in the army workshops.
