Karen Stacy, 17-year-old daughter of Mr and Mrs C. W. Stacy, 15 Muir Street, has left for a year's schooling in the U.S.A. as an American Field Exchange scholar. An upper sixth form pupil of the Girls' High School, Karen will live with the Schneider family in the small Californian town of Sebastopol, 50 miles from San Francisco. Karen is pictured preparing her travel papers with her mother and younger sister Jackie.

Mr and Mrs J. E. Smith, formerly of Auckland, who are now in residence at 34 Stout Street. Mr Smith is the service manager of the newly opened Gisborne branch of the Bell Radio and Television Corporation, of whom Telehire is a subsidiary.

Station 2ZG's former announcer in chief, Johnny Shearer, with his wife Bev, and family (from left) Robin, Suzanne, and Philip, have moved to Palmerston North where Johnny is now announcer in chief at Station 2ZA. The family came from Nelson 2½ years ago, and resided at 15 Churchill Crescent.
