Combined Schools' Ball Debutantes
Old students of Woodford House, Nga Tawa, Christ's College, and Wanganui Collegiate School, combined to hold a most successful dinner dance in the Army Hall on a recent Friday night.
Highlight of the evening was the presentation of 14 debutantes, who were watched by more than 400 guests as they made their curtseys to the official party.
Five of the debutantes presented were, from left: Misses Jocelyn Muir, Tamsin Murphy, Dinah Wallis, Ann Rutledge, and Wendy Moore.
The remaining nine debutantes were all former pupils of Woodford House. They are, from left: Misses Rosemary Faram, Patricia Veitch, Jill Tietjen, Jane Forguson, Phillipa de Lautour, Juliet Humphreys, Karen McKinnon, Erica Williams, and Diane Dowding.
