The lure of the sea calls many a man, and what better way of spending a quiet day, basking in the sun in an open boat with fishing tackle or crayfish pots? Ready for such an outing is our attractive model, Rachel Rolls, 17-year-old daughter of Mr and Mrs C. H. Rolls, 306 Kahutia Street, whom we captured with our colour camera in this delightful study at Kaiti Beach. A true lover of the sea, Rachel's interests include swimming, surfing, and ballet. She is employed in the city as a chemist's assistant.

Back Cover. Hundreds of Guides and Scouts from the Gisborne-East Coast district paraded in the Botanical Gardens last month in honor of the birthday of their movement's founder, Lord Baden Powell.
