These Boys Do A Great Joo

We make no apology in this issue for devoting two pages to the work of these junior members of St. John Ambulance. These boys give their time and energy, with no thought of reward, to the learning of skills which will be useful in the service of others in alleviating pain and suffering and perhaps even saving lives.

The occasion was the annual contest between Gisborne and Ruatoria boys for the Alec Wright Memorial Cup for stretcher work. In addition, during a weekend camp at Rimuroa, the boys took part in a bushcraft exercise in which their St. John teachings were put to the test.
