Gun Club Trophy Shoot
Excellent conditions prevailed for the Gisborne Gun Club's November trophy shoot at its grounds off the Willows Road, Matawhero.
Plentiful entries and a very high standard of shooting made competition keen.
Jim Watkins, of Tolaga Bay, who won the Tatapouri Cup for the 10 bird match, and Len Choveaux, of Matawai, winner of the Ellis Memorial Cup for the 15 bird match, pose with their trophies.
The Poverty Bay single barrel championship was contested in a shoot-off by Vincent Cooey (left), of Opotiki, and Don Allan, of Matawai.
