Poster Competition
About 100 posters were entered in a competition held in Gisborne last month in conjunction with the National Savings Week.
Judged in three classes, the posters were of a high standard, and displayed a variety of approaches to the savings theme.
The section winners were presented with their prize money at a small ceremony in the Bank of New South Wales by Mr G. R. Fookes, chairman of the Gisborne Committee of National Savings Week.
17-year-old Heather Crafts won £12 by winning both the 1st and 2nd prizes in the under-21 years and left-school section.
