Gala Day

Good crowds thronged the Orange Grove Motels on a recent Saturday when the Gisborne lions Club staged a gala day for the benefit of the St. John Ambulance Association.

Among the highlights of the day were the baby and sponge cake competitions.

The children's playground facilities also proved popular with the kiddies while their Mums and Dads went shopping at the various stalls.

With double the charm of the other individual competitors, these two identical twins, Louise and Bronwyn Cutts, 12-months-old daughters of Mr and Mrs K. Cutts, 53 Ormond Road, equally won the title in the 9-18 months baby competition.
