Back Cover: "A real Gisborne summer" has been the frequent comment of local people, referring to the long, hot spell of sunshine and fine weather. It's been a tough time for garden enthusiasts, so the prevailing mood has been to give the garden away and instead enjoy to the full the attractions of Swimming and fishing along Gisborne's incomparable coastline. This picture was taken at Pouawa, a few miles up the East Coast, where the pleasures of casting a line from the rocks can fill many a holiday hour.
