Saluting Their New Headmaster

As a finale to their barracks training week.... the first week back at school.....pupils of the Gisborne Boys High School took part in a battalion parade, during which they performed a march past for their new headmaster, Mr G. M. Simpson, M.A., B.Com., Dip Ed., late of Westlake Boys' High School, Taka-puna, Auckland.

Leading the march past was school-master Major G. T. Marsden, an ex-28th Maori Battalion officer, who was officer in charge of the training programme carried out during the week.
