The Beach Races

Horses' hooves pounding along the firm sand at Midway Beach heralded the final day of the Poverty Bay Stampede.....the beach races, organised by the P.B. Polo Club.

Held in beautiful weather, and attended by a large, colourfully-dressed crowd, the day was a grand success, and was a fitting finale to a week of excellent entertainment.
