"Raid" By Tauranga Orphans

When the Tauranga Orphans Club "raided" Gisborne recently, they were greeted by a tableau based on a highly topical news theme. The welcome was rendered at the Gisborne Sheepfarmers Supermarket where a large body of Gisborne Orphans had gathered with their friends and relatives to see the fun. There was plenty of it as these pictures show. After the arrival of the Tauranga Club they were read a message of welcome by the "Town Crier" and then sent to the "dosing" strip where they were "dosed" with a rare flavoured medicine. They were then allowed to return to their buses and proceed into town.
