At the Races

The Poverty Bay Turf Club recently held two race meetings at their course at Makaraka; one on a Saturday, and the other the following Wednesday.

Held as an experiment, the mid-week meeting proved to be an outstanding success, being attended by crowds far exceeding expectations.
