Roving Camera

A revolutionary ditching machine was demonstrated to a group of farmers (in distance) at the Acton Stud Farm, Hexton. Driven directly from the power take-off of the tractor, it was drawn at walking pace across the ground, leaving a drainage ditch in its wake. The excavated earth is thrown high in the air and scatters across the adjacent ground, thus disposing of it most satisfactorily.

The Harbour Board's floating crane recently salvaged a pleasure craft which had sunk in the Gisborne harbour after being involved in a wharf accident.

A spectacular motorcar accident on the Roebuck and Palmerston Roads intersection on a recent Friday night resulted in three cars being extensively damaged. Pictured are two of them, a near-new Jaguar, which was written off, and a Morris Minor convertible, which received severe damage to its front half.
