Maori Competitions
The 11th annual Maori Competitions were held in the Gisborne Opera House last month before good houses, with senior, junior, and primary teams, drawn from an area from Tokomaru Bay to Manutuke, taking part.
A notable feature of the competitions was the high standard displayed by the performers during their items, illustrating that Maori culture at its best is to be found on the East Coast.
