Chinese Wedding

Largest Crowd seen at a wedding in Gisborne for a long time turned out to see Miss Lily Lee, daughter of Mr J. Lee and the late Mrs Lee of Auckland, become the bride of George Louie, son of Mr and Mrs Louie Howe, Gisborne.

The bride, wearing a beautiful gown of white embossed satin over white lace, is shown leaving St. Andrews Church after the ceremony on the arm of her groom, and followed by her attendants.

The wedding was one of Gisborne's Easter attractions for many interested residents, who packed about the church doors so closely that taxis bearing bride and her maids had difficulty in reaching destination.
