H.M.N.Z.S. Lachlan at Gisborne

The survey ship, H.M.N.Z.S. Lachlan, with her two satellite launches P.3556A and P.3566B, paid a visit to Gisborne for Anzac weekend, when her complement paraded at the Anzac service.

As the Lachlan slips out to sea, the Kautunui comes out of dry dock, where she had been getting a coat of paint. The Lachlan, which has, in the past, been engaged with survey work along the East Coast, will continue this work in the summer months after wintering in Samoan waters.
