New arrivals from the Isle of Wight (Newport) are the Harris and Johnston families From left are Rosalind Moul (niece of the Harris's), Edward and Thora Harris, and Ann and Derek Johnston (who were married here recently).

Nelson's new Stipendiary Magistrate, Mr J. W. P. Watts, and Mrs Watts. They're from Wellington where Mr Watts was chairman of the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board. They have a married daughter who is living in Marton.

Leaving Nelson for Stratford was a big break for the Bovey family who have lived here all their lives. Constable Eric Bovey is seeking new pastures and with him of course go his wife Cynthia and children Darcy and Kerry, Sharon and Dianne.

David and Doreen Armstrong, and family Kenneth and Ian. David was A.A. Canterbury representative at Culverden and is a new A.A. Nelson patrolman.

From Ashburton comes Bill and Betty Mills and family, Denis, Wendy and Diane. Bill has taken over the Stoke Superette (formerly Ryries Food Market). Two other sons are in Ashburton and Sydney.
