Aerial Gateway to Nelson

Travellers to Nelson by air get an excellent view of Nelson and the surrounding countryside from either the northern or southern ends of the airport runway. This picture, taken from the southern end, highlights the spur on the west side of the airport. The Monaco peninsula, not seen in this picture, juts out into the Waimea inlet at right.
