Forty Acres of Pine Trees

The Japanese logging vessel, Nisshun Maru, leaving Port Nelson with her holds and decks crammed with logs retrieved from about 40 acres of Golden Downs forest. This shipment of 3.736 million Haakon Dahl feet of logs, was about one log off the record shipment taken by the Cape Clear earlier this year. The vessel carried 15,154 logs. And that's a lot of toothpicks.
