"Trial By Jury"

What's that old vaudevillian expression that is used to denote a theatrical hit? "Wowed them". That's it. And that's the only expression sufficiently apt to describe the impact the cast of "Trial By Jury" had on the audience on two music filled nights at the Waimea College assembly hall. The occasion was the presentation of the college's music festival, the climax of the evening's entertainment being Gilbert and Sullivan's musical parody. This is not the first time that Waimea College pupils have found a kind of rapport with G and S, and we hope it will not be the last. The play revolves round the hearing of a breach of promise suit.
