Nelson Nearly Won

With the last two minutes of play ticking away it appeared as if Nelson was at last to beat Canterbury in a representative soccer Match earlier this month. Then D. Watson pushed home Canterbury's second goal to tie the match 2-all. Nelson was very unlucky not to score a win. Its attacking play was stronger and all players played with a singleness of purpose that has not characterised the province's play in recent years.
