Philatelists Look for Bargains
Every now and again the Nelson Philatelic Society provides members with the opportunity of acquiring rare or cheap stamps at a stamp sale. This was in progress when we arrived.
Cliff Burns, Des Eden and Len Mitchener find a stamp to awaken interest.
Dorothy Gibson and Mabel Scott examine a purchase by Mrs Gibson.
Super salesman Ray Anderson looks for a customer.
"Was the lot a bargain?" wonders Gail West as she riffles through her buy.
An unused album is examined by Marjorie Dean and Barbara Harris.
Principal officers of the society: Ralph Blake (treasurer), Stan Merlo (secretary), Henry Lindup (president) and Ron Inglis (sales table officer).
