Yachts on Lake Rotoiti
Yachts from Marlborough, Nelson and the West Coast competed on Lake Rotoiti last month for the inter-district championships and freshwater championships. Conditions were excellent, although a stiff breeze coming through the west arm provided a good test of boats and crews. Only mishap of the day was when a West Coast catamaran ranmed and holed Morris Amos's javelin, Tamoure. Above is a view of the yachts on the lake as the last race is sailed. At left Tamoure rounds the buoy behind Ma-Tori and below, Tamoure, now holed, limps back to shore as the race continues.
