Trotting Cup to Trafalgar

The consistent Richmond owned and trained pacer, Trafalgar, left the remainder of the field standing when he romped off with the Nelson Cup at the Nelson Trotting Club's summer meeting. Trafalgar, driven by his owner–trainer, J. Huyser, won by 10 lengths. This year's meeting was even more successful than the usual meeting. The weather was very kind, big fields were entered for most races and big crowds turned out on each of the two days. On this page we go a little behind the scenes and bring to you some of the men who are working at the track while everyone else is playing.
